About the Program

Absa GenA Global Markets offers you an opportunity to get a broad set of skills by rotating across different Markets Trading and Sales desks throughout the 18-month program.

Based on your preference and business needs you could rotate across a selection of these areas within Global Markets: Fixed Income, Equities, Foreign Exchange, Structuring, Credit, QA, and Prime. You have the opportunity to get exposure to the growing African market in which we operate. You will be allocated a buddy to assist and guide you throughout the program.

Who is Eligible 

• South African young graduates who wish to work in a dynamic environment that offers exposure to a network of professionals who will help guide and enable their career progression.
• Young people who want to be part of a structured development program that will connect them to graduates from across the continent giving them the skills to be self-empowered and cross-culturally competent. You will master the art of a design mindset whilst applying novel and adaptive thinking that will prepare you for the future world of work.

Requirements

• The applicant should be a South African Citizen
• You should have an honors degree or equivalent
• You should have an aggregate of at least 65%
• You must graduate on or before 30th March 2023.
• You must not have more than 24 months of work experience
• You should be a graduate of any of the following fields;

1. Accounting and Auditing or
2. Actuarial Science or
3. Aeronautical Engineering or
4. Business and Management Studies or
5. Chemical Engineering or
6. Chemistry or
7. Civil Engineering or
8. Computer Science or
9. Economics or
10. Electrical and Electronic Engineering or
11. Finance or
12. General Management or
13. Geography and Environmental Sciences or
14. Industrial Engineering or
15. Information Systems or
16. Information Technology or
17. Manufacturing Engineering or
18. Mathematics or
19. Mechanical Engineering or
20. Mining Engineering or
21. Physics or
22. Statistics or
23. Quantity Surveying
