Josephus Foundation Scholarships 2022 at First Technical University Application Now Open

Interested and eligible prospective students of First Technical University are invited to submit their application forms for the 2022 Josephus Foundation Scholarships. All candidates should meet the below requirements to be eligible to apply.

About the Scholarship

The Josephus Foundation Scholarship is provided by the Chancellor of First Technical University, Ibadan, Chief Tunde Afolabi (MFR), who is the Chairman of AMNI International Petroleum.

According to the vice-chancellor of the university, Professor Adesola Ajayi, the scholarship is for students/candidates interested and being considered for admission to the university (Tech-U), in the 2022/2023 admission cycle, irrespective of nationality, state of origin, tribe, sex, religion or social status.

Scholarship Amount

The scholarship is an N700,000(Seven Hundred Thousand Naira) scholarship

Areas Covered

The scholarship is a partly funded scholarship and only covers the following

  • Tuition Fee and
  • Accommodation

The scholarship beneficiaries will be responsible for a one-time payment of other municipal and service charges as enumerated in the schedule of fees for undergraduate students available on the University’s website (https://tech-u.edu.ng/documents/school-fees-structure.pdf).

Who Can Apply

The scholarship is open to all students coming in through UTME, JUBEP, and direct entry on annual bases depending on the student’s performance.

Eligibility Criteria 

  • The candidate must also have a JAMB score of at least 160 in the 2022 UTME
  • Applicant must have passed at only one sitting ordinary level English Language, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics and Biology/Agricultural Science/Geography at least at the Credit level
  • Direct Entry students must have at least Credit at an advanced level in any three relevant science subjects/National Diploma at Upper Credit.
  • You must satisfactory performance in the University Scholarship Screening Examination

After the first award, the beneficiary must maintain a Cumulative Grade Point Average of at least 3.50 to qualify for the annual renewal of the scholarship.
