About the South African Reserve Bank Graduate Trainee Programme
The South African Reserve Bank (SARB) is inviting productive and talented postgraduates to join its one-year Graduate Development Programme in January 2024. Selected graduates will work and learn at the SARB head office from January to December 2024. Candidates will be assigned to various departments within the head office where they will be exposed to various tasks and projects.

Application for this graduate programme is open to candidates who have a postgraduate qualification in one of the following fields;
- Accounting
- Auditing
- Business analysis
- Economics
- Econometrics
- Research
- Policy analysis
- Public finance
- Statistics
- Financial management
- Information technology
- Law
- Portfolio or investment management
- Mathematics
- Quantitative analysis
- Project management
- Risk management (operational and financial risk)
- Treasury, or
- International relations.

Requirements
To be eligible to apply, candidates must meet these requirements;
- You must have completed a postgraduate degree
- You must have attained an average of over 65% in your final year;
- have a strong desire to work in financial services and/or policymaking;
- have a proven track record of academic excellence;
- have excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- You must be a South African citizen
- You must be a curious and keen learner.

How to Apply for the South African Reserve Bank Graduate Trainee Programme 2024
Interested and eligible candidates for the 2024 SARB graduate trainee programme should submit their application forms online through any of the under-listed portals;
- For internal applicants, you MUST apply through the ERP system while
- External applicants MUST submit their application forms online via www.resbank.co.za
While on the portal, you are required to create a profile account before proceeding to submit your application.
Application Closing Date
The deadline to apply is 14th April 2023.
