About the University of Ottawa Scholarships for Africans
The University of Ottawa Scholarship for Africans is a tuition reduction scholarship that allows undergraduate African students to receive a significant annual reduction on their supposed tuition fees. The scholarship is open to students who wish to join the university in the Fall term of 2022(September 2022 intakes) or later with an admission average of 80% or higher.
This scholarship is currently open to students who wish to study in English language and are enrolled in any of the following faculties;
- Engineering
- Social Sciences
- Science

List of Available programs
As an African student studying in English, you will automatically benefit from the scholarships when they enroll in one of these programs;
- Faculty of Engineering: Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering
- Faculty of Social Sciences: Sociology, Anthropology, International Development and Globalization, Conflict Studies, Public Administration
- Faculty of Science: all programs except the joint Honours BSc in Biochemistry / BASc in Chemical Engineering (Biotechnology); the joint Honours BSc in Physics / BASc in Electrical Engineering; and the Honours BSc in Ophthalmic Medical Technology

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this scholarship, you are to meet these criteria;
- You must be from an African Country
- You must be studying in English Language
- You must be an undergraduate student
- You must be studying in any of the listed faculties above.
Scholarship Amount
The amount awarded per student varies according to their departments and faculties and also on your admission average. See the table below for a clear understanding
