University of Warwick Global Excellence Scholarship is to award a £1.5 million scholarship to students from different nationalities worldwide to study at the university.
This included 20 full-fee scholarships, 160 half-fee scholarships, and 70 £2,000 awards. The scholarship is intended to facilitate access to undergraduate-level study for academically gifted students.

About the University of Warwick Global Excellence Scholarship

In 2023 Warwick awarded scholarships totalling just under £1.5 million to students from more than 40 different nationalities worldwide. This included 20 full-fee scholarships, 160 half-fee scholarships, and 70 £2,000 awards.
The total funds available for the scheme in 2024 will be equal to 2023 however the split of awards for 2024 is currently under consideration. More information on this will be available in December 2023.

Eligibility Criteria for the Scholarship
To apply for this scholarship, you must:
- • Be self-funded*
- • Be classed as an ‘overseas’ or ‘international-fee paying’ student for tuition fee purposes
- • Have applied for a full-time undergraduate course at the University of Warwick starting in Autumn 2024 before the UCAS application deadline of 31 January 2024.
- • Submit a scholarship application before noon on Wednesday, 20 March 2024 BST
- •By 16 May 2024, you must receive an offer of a place to study at Warwick starting September 2024

Application Procedures
Interested and qualified applicants for the University of Warwick Global Excellence Scholarship should apply using the link below;
- Eligible international applicants will be contacted with details on how to formally apply for the scholarship.
- Please note: To apply for the scholarship you must first set up an IT account which can take up to 48 hours to verify. Once this is done, many of the application fields will be completed for you and any areas that need supporting information or statements from you will be indicated on the application form.
- Applicants will be required to answer the question “What makes you excellent?”
- The objective is to learn more about what motivates you, how your excellence might benefit the Warwick community, and how you hope your learning and experience at Warwick will help you make the World a better place once you graduate.
- Answers can reference academic attainment, extracurricular successes, and personal achievement but should not be a copy of the personal statement. You may write in essay or extended bullet point form but please don’t simply write a list. You should provide context and relevance to the objectives above. Responses are limited to 400 words.
