Independent information site
OpportunityHanger (opportunityhanger.com) is an independent information website. We research and summarise publicly announced scholarships, bursaries, fellowships, internships, graduate programmes, grants and similar opportunities so that readers across Africa can find them in one place.
No affiliation with sponsors
We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of any university, company, government agency, foundation or other organisation whose opportunity we write about, unless a post clearly says otherwise. Names, logos and trademarks mentioned on this site belong to their respective owners and are used only to identify the opportunity being described.
We never charge application fees
OpportunityHanger does not run any application process, does not select candidates, and never asks readers to pay any fee to apply for, secure or “fast-track” an opportunity. We will never contact you to request payment, bank details or passwords. If anyone claiming to represent OpportunityHanger asks you for money, it is a scam; please do not pay and report it to us through our contact page.
Always confirm details on the official website
Eligibility rules, benefits, deadlines and application links are set by each sponsor and can change at any time, sometimes without notice. Although we try to keep our posts accurate and up to date, we cannot guarantee that every detail is current. Before you apply, always confirm the information directly on the sponsor’s official website or official announcement, and apply only through the official channel.
No guarantee of outcome
Publishing an opportunity on this site does not mean you will qualify for it or be selected. Decisions are made solely by the organisation offering the opportunity.
External links
Our posts link to third-party websites for convenience. We do not control those websites and are not responsible for their content, privacy practices or availability.
Advertising
This website is supported by advertising. Ads are served by third-party networks and are clearly separate from our editorial content. An advertisement on this site is not an endorsement of the advertiser.
Not professional advice
Content on this site is general information only and is not legal, financial, immigration or career advice. For decisions that depend on your personal circumstances, consult a qualified professional or the relevant official body.
Corrections
If you spot an error, an expired opportunity or a broken link, please tell us through our contact page and we will review it.
