About the 2024 Kaohsiung Medical University Scholarship

The Kaohsiung Medical University is a private medical school located in Sanmin District, Kaohsiung, Taiwan.

The university was originally established as Kaohsiung Medical College in 1954 by the former mayor of Kaohsiung City, Chen Chi-chuan, and Tu Tsung-ming, the first Ph.D. of Medical Sciences in Taiwan. At the time of its establishment, the college was the first private institution of its kind in southern Taiwan

This is a well-established university comprising the College of Medicine, College of Dental Medicine, College of Pharmacy, College of Life Science, College of Nursing, College of Health Sciences, and College of Humanities & Social Sciences.

• Applicants having any nationality other than China are eligible to apply.
• For Master’s Program: A Bachelor’s degree or higher obtained from a university
• For PhD Program: A Master’s degree or higher obtained from a university

Application Process for the 2024 Kaohsiung Medical University Scholarship

Please submit the following materials here

1. Click “Here” above, and choose [Undergraduate Program] or [Master/Ph.D.], the degree program you wish to apply. Register for a personal account. Applicants may apply for up to 3 programs. Applications without online registration will not be accepted.
2. Read carefully the Declaration and agree on the terms of the application. Please be informed that if any required fields on the application form are blank, it will not be saved successfully.
3. Upload all required files and submit the application fee (applicants of the School of Post-Baccalaureate Medicine only). After completing the online application, application documents must be uploaded before the application deadline date.
4. After filling out the application forms, print it out and sign then upload the scanned copy of the form.
5. Set up at least 2 respective referrers for each program applied.
6. Click the button “Submit Application” to complete the application.

• Online Application Form and KMU Scholarship Application Form, which applies to
  applicants who are interested in the KMU Scholarship.
• The highest-level diploma verified by the R.O.C. representative office.
• Official transcripts verified by R.O.C. representative office.
• Financial statement
• Proof of Nationality
• Proof of Language Proficiency
• A study plan in Chinese or English
• Two letters of recommendation (in Chinese or English)
• Other documents specified by the department or graduate institute
• Passport size photograph
• Self-Check for Eligibility Verification & Declaration Form
