About the University of Nottingham Africa Postgraduate Excellence Award
Unlock your potential with the University of Nottingham Africa Postgraduate Excellence Award, covering a £4,000 contribution towards tuition fees.
The University of Nottingham is offering scholarships towards full-time master’s tuition fees for high-achieving international students who live in Africa.
Outstanding students applying for master’s courses in the Faculty of Engineering are eligible for a scholarship of £6,000. Eligibility for these awards will be assessed by the scholarship panel, so students only need to submit a standard Postgraduate Excellence Award application to be considered for both the higher value award and the £4,000 or £6,000 scholarship.

Eligibility Criteria for University of Nottingham Postgraduate Excellence Award
Meet these requirements if you wish to be eligible for this scholarship;
- be domiciled in Africa
- be classed as an overseas student for fee purposes
- hold an offer to start a full-time master’s (including MRes) in any subject area at the University of Nottingham UK in September or October
- You may also be eligible to apply for our Developing Solutions Masters Scholarship. You can apply and be considered for both of these scholarships but you will only be awarded one.
Important
You are not eligible for this scholarship if you:
- are a current student or graduate of the University of Nottingham
- have already studied outside of your home country
- are currently studying in the UK

Africa (all nations), Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Bangladesh, Barbados, Belize, Bermuda, British Virgin Islands, Brunei, Cayman Islands, Dominica, Falkland Islands, Fiji, Gibraltar, Grenada, Guyana, India, Jamaica, Kiribati, Malaysia, Maldives, Montserrat, Nauru, Nepal, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, Pitcairn Islands, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Sri Lanka, St Helena, St Kitts and Nevis, St Lucia, St Vincent and the Grenadines, Tonga, Trinidad and Tobago, Tristan da Cunha, Turks and Caicos Islands, Tuvalu and Vanuatu.
